As a person and fighter Calzaghe. A lot of other guys seem to get respect for being ****y and folk say it's the sport, but Joe does a bit it's not so much. Double standards. If you watch a few interviews/documentaries he's a pretty sound decent fella on the whole.

Joe doesn't hate the english, he mighta said it once but who could blame him after being spat on? He doesn't hate them as a whole though.

Hatton has a more extrovert personality which amuses me sometimes, but not that much, plus his style is rough aggression with a lot of holding laterly, which I don't like. Still like both though.

I've read Joes book 2-3 times, and I have to say I can't remember him saying he hates the English. I might re-read it sometime and check that though.

As for the poll, I like Calzaghe more. I used to like Hatton a lot in his run as WBU Champ, I know it's a **** belt but he had some great scraps around that time. These days he smothers his work and holds more, so I don't like him as much, I find him less entertaining.

If Calzaghe said he hates the English he'd lose a massive portion of his fanbase. I don't think Joe is that ******. The English mostly love Joe, and I think he has no problem with English people. Maybe back in the day at the time of the Delaney fight, but Delaney got dropped 5 times or something in that fight, the local yobs probably didn't like seeing their boy get an ass kicking from a Welshman.
