you obviously don't live in a region that has welsh local TV.

    They have TV's in Wales?

Thought it was just sheep and.....more sheep.

My flippant nature has gotten me in much trouble over the years. Were it not for my size, I think I'd have been beaten up so many times, I'd be seriously handicapped right now.

He might not, but I do.

        And you're wrong.

Calzaghe shuns the limelight wherever possible.

Floyd is an attention whore, and will do anything for a dollar.

That's hardly a fair yardstick to use.

It's true though, Calzaghe does himself no favours.

If Calzaghe was able to self promote, we probably wouldn't be having this discussion about whether he is an ATG, as most would accept it as a given.

(For the record, I am undecided on the subject)

Calzaghe is supposed to beat Jones and was supposed to beat Hopkins and would still be picked to win a rematch. Why would these feats at the end of RJJ and Hops career make some sort of landmark seal on JC's resume? Gimme a break.

would Pavlik be a landmark seal?

There is no one he can fight that will get that now. So Joe Calzaghe is what he is and you can accept him for what you will, but you'd have to judge every fighter by the same high standards.

i dont think joe will ever go down as an atg(top 10 anyway). Not sayin he has'nt fought stiff competition or that he avoided fighters, but simply because, he has'nt had enough time in the spotlight, he is'nt known well enough.. plus he fights like a panzy(no offence)

Hopkins proved that Pavlik was over rated, in the same kind of way that Joe proved Lacy was over rated against an elite fighter.

                      I highly doubt it.

If he done this, who would he then need to beat to be a ATG
if calzaghe destroys or dominates rjj, beat hopkins convincingly, and beats dawson decisively, then I will consider him an ATG.

I give calzagh some leeway in how dominating his wins should be since he is 36 years old; but there should be absolutely no controversy in his wins against these 3.
