For fighting smaller guys, Oscar did it his whole career, he was always WAY bigger in the lightweight division and beat nobody his size.

Oscar won't get any credit if he beats Pac. What he will get -- and this is the whole point of the fight -- is a massive pay check.

Exactly, but when he was asked why he took the fight against a smaller guy, he said because Pacquiao called him out and that Pacquiao is considered PFP #1. But its mainly the paycheck and the fact that he thinks he is going to win.Comment

Yes, of course.
Both Bernard and Oscar are smart business men. I have no problem with the fact that they steal other fighters' thunder when they are riding the crest of a wave of popularity, but it does kinda make me see their resume's in a different light because the opponents are usually smaller / lighter guys who haven't done so well at higher weights (except Tarver, of course). Tito deserved that ass whipping though. I just don't like the guy. Regardless of the smaller men issue, Bernard is one of the best fighters I've ever seen.

You honestly think in 20 years people are going to remember that Pac was massively undersized?
Don't be daft, it'll be "Ahh man look at the number of ATG he fought, Mosley, Mayweather, Hopkins, Trinidad, Chavez, that dude never ducked noone" The some guy will disect his record and get shouted down and told "You can do that with anyones record"
Meh, he's a credit to the sport, he's great watch and his cahones are larger than the USSR.Comment

I honestly don't see how this thread can be takin serious ! I'm not a ODLH fan but man he did damn near everything that was asked of him ! He kept moving up weight fighting the fights the fans wanted ! Whitaker,Chavez,Camacho was bigger, I thought Tito was bigger body wise,Vargas was the bigger fighter, Hopkins was a big step ! The smaller guys were the money fights that people wanted to see ! And that was obvious the Mayweather fight ! How much did that fight gross ? I am against the Pacman fight though !Comment

Cant understand that there still exist some that doesnt get Hopkins credit. The man has fought the best opponents out there ! How many fighters have fought the same competition after 41 as Hopkins ?? Tarver, Winky, Calzaghe, Pavlik.
If Hopkins dosnet get any credit then Hagler shouldnt get any credit.Comment

DLH was huge in the lower weight classes at 130/135, pretty big for 140, and solid at 147. He fought some bigger guys though, and quality guys around his size.
Both he and Hopkins deserve credit. Most of Hopkins's big name wins may have come against smaller guys, but he beat his share of middleweight contenders (who are adjusted to 160) around, and beat the larger Tarver as well.Comment

oscar beating manny means nothing hopkins beating delahoya shouldn't mean anything and hagler lost to sugar rayComment
