    James Toney, prove me wrong...please

I HATE when fighters badmouth other fighters, and call them out when they have no intention of fighting them.

i.e. David Haye saying he'd clean up the Klitchko's and in the very same discussion say he needs a few warm ups. If you can't beat a guy TODAY, then shut up and give him your respect.

James Toney has always called out the Klits in post fight interviews and pressers...or even when he has been sidelined with long term injuries (bicep and achillies) these are times when fight negotiations do not take place.

Now we have a situation were Wladimir needs an opponent, and Toney's people haven't said BOO to the public anyway.

James...pls don't call him out once he announces a fight against another dude......or say he priced you out...etc.

If you want him...announce it NOW!

I'm hoping James is proving me wrong and is in negotiations as I write this.

    best Regards,

    D

I think Toney is fighting Thompson on December 13th.

Toney already turned down an offer to face Wlad.

If Toney had a chance of actually gettin one of the K bros in the ring I'm sure he'd do it up. Problem is he'd lose to either.

He turned down something like $1.5m for Wlad. It was confirmed by Freddie Roach who said it was too low to risk fighting Wlad. Cant remember who posted the article but its somewhere...

That was a low ball offer too. Toney also said after paying out to everyone involved with training, his handlers, etc. it wasn't enough dough left over. James does run his mouth, but we can't ignore the business side of things.

Doesnt sound very low to me. But its amazing how much he talks then turns down the fight.

You have no promoters or sanctioning bodies to deal with for 1.

Toney is one of my favorite fighters and yeah he talks **** but he backs it up so I don't mind that so much. But one thing I do know is that he needs to stay away from the giants like the Klitschko bros. because they are to big and they fight like big men....there is only so much head movement and good defense can get you when you can't even get to the guy. I feel like the David Haye fight would have been a good fight for him.
