    Where have the 'classics" gone?

I just watched the Salvador Sanchez vs. Wilfredo Gomez and the Alexis Arguello vs. Aaron Pryor fights. Each time I watch one of these classic fights it reminds me how excited I used to get for the big fights. I miss the good old days.................

Well to me the big difference is that it isn't the big fights that deliver now its the fights that are not low key but not necessarily the biggest fight of the year. Pac vs JMM is a good example. We still have classics just no so evident and not so many fights deliver they become fewer and farther between but another example would be ward vs augustus and of coarse Gattie vs Ward

      Classics are still here

The classics and the hits just keep coming. Gatti, Ward, Pemberton, Echols, and many others have been in classic fights that will be remembered and watched for decades.

The big Super Fights of the seventies and eighties are few and far between. Back then it seemed we were getting a Duran/Leonard, Pryor/Arguello, Chavez/Taylor, Hagler/Hearns every other week.
