After the fight was over, when Hopkins was standing on the ropes looking down at the boxing writers, I said to my friends that Hopkins needs to go down there and talk to that young fighter . I was glad that he did that, it really was the right thing to do, hopefully he really does go help Kelly train.he was probably screaming it during the rounds, but what i liked the most is after the fight when hopkins said that pavlik needed to bend his knees and that he needed to learn slickness, BUT!, what i found great is that hopkins said that he would help pavlik and that he would come to his house with a bat to get him out of bed if he didn't get back in the gym, but what i like, is that hopkins offered his services in helping pavlik train and learn. i thought that it was a gracious moment from hopkins.
also i think that is exactly what pavlik needs to do, is hire hopkins or at least hopkins crew to train him from here on out. no one will be able to do to pavlik what hopkins did, not in that complete of a package as hopkins, but other fighters will be able to use some of the stuff that worked against pavlik, and if pavlik is to learn what is his weakness, then he will be able to defend it.Comment

yeah, i found it to be quite a gesture of professionalism as well as a compassionate side to hopkins. i'm glad to see such respect, the sport needs more of it.After the fight was over, when Hopkins was standing on the ropes looking down at the boxing writers, I said to my friends that Hopkins needs to go down there and talk to that young fighter . I was glad that he did that, it really was the right thing to do, hopefully he really does go help Kelly train.
and i do think that pavlik can learn some slickness, i think it's just knowing what you can and can't do, and how to anticipate things. pavlik has some tricks of his own, all he needs to do is expand his bag of tricks, mix them up, learn to set better traps. something more than what loew was telling him, double jab, right hand, all fight long, guy was like a chatty suzie saying the same thing when you pulled the string, " double jab, right hand..................."
anywho, it's possible for pavlik to learn, he's young and if he is really serious about his craft, which i do think he is, then he is always going to learn something new that he use to elevate his game. if not then the blueprint is set, it's just going to take someone on hopkins level to pull it off again.........Comment

I'm pretty sure I heard Loew shout it out mid-round in the fight as well but you're right, they were telling Pavlik to bend his knees in the second Taylor fight mid-round and in between rounds.Comment
