OK fight fans, i've not been around recently. I realise this will have deeply hurt you, I can only hope you will forget me. You must understand, life as a Fight Scoring Wizard isn't as exciting as you may think. Sure, I get to go drinking with Larry, and watch all the big fights from a cage in the rafters. But, with great power comes great responcibility. Some of my top secret scorecards were stolen from HBO HQ and we had to track them down, but this is a different story. We're here to talk boxing.
Klitschko-Peter:
This was the worst heavyweight fight for a while, the 2nd best fighter in the world, at that weight, quitting against a man coming off a 4 year layoff. To make it worse, Peter was clearly ahead at the time. The fat bastard probably just wanted to go get more McDonalds. I had it 7-2 Peter.
Tarver-Dawson:
I didn't bother, they're both ****.
Hopkins-Pavlik:
I'm not sure what fight some people were watching, but I thought this was very close. Hopkins was throwing more, but not really landing. Kelly was sparing with his shots, but landed meaty power shots throughout and dictated the pace of the fight IMO. I scored it 6-6, a draw. I got no idea what you were smoking if you think Hopkins dominated, all I say is shame on you.
And buy Harolds new book, "Harolds Scoring Wonderland", out this christmas.
