    John Duddy @ 154

I see most of his fights being played on the MSG network here in NY. For those of you who are not from NY the MSG Net is Madison Square Garden Netwrok. It is a non PPV Channel and has some boxing on now and then, Mostly replays of old fights not very old like 2006 and more recent fights. Well John Duddy is on there often fighting some near .500 record of a street brawler. Duddy is usually opened up by the 3rd or 4th rounds trading blows with some guy who was bagging grocieries or shoveling horse dung a few hours before the fight. I sit and I wonder to myself is Duddy going to be able to move to 154 and will he ver fight someone with class?

I think he's fighting Ronald Hearns early next year, should be a good test for both of them.

I love Duddy, he's not very good though.

Yeah, heard that right after Hearns' last fight. Ought to be a pretty good fight, to be honest. Both want to be the aggressor against everyone they fight. Usually makes for a short night, but with plenty of fireworks before it's over. I'm really looking forward to this one, to be honest.

Looks like their trying to have him fight Ronald Hearns. Its about time he fights someone halfway good...actually you could say the same thing about Hearns to. Both guys have been fighting c and d class opposition their whole career.

I don't think Hearns going forward is a good idea against Duddy honestly because that'll just help Duddy get on the inside, Hearns isn't that good yet on the inside, if Hearns can stay on the outside and get his jab going, he would pick Duddy apart IMO but an inside fight would be a toss up. Should be a good fight either way.

Duddy has issues with getting cut. It appears to me he guts cut in almost every fight. If he fights someone with a good jab they would bust his face up pretty bad.

No, you're 100% correct, it won't be a good idea, but he'll do it anyway. This should be a great brawl, and the loss will be no big deal to either guy's career. A win/win in my book.

Exactly, if Hearns stays on the outside and uses his jab to set things up, he'd pick Duddy apart and cut him up, maybe even forcing a stoppage on cuts.

Yeah, he probably will and that'll make for a very entertaining fight for the fans. And I agree, a loss probably won't be a huge setback for either guy unless one of them gets totally dominated.
