    Kessler

    In an interview after Saturday's fight, Mikkel Kessler said he wants to fight the "big US names"...

    I'm hoping in 2009 we'll have the opportunity to see Kessler against somebody like Hopkins, Taylor or Pavlik. Mikkel will not turn down an opportunity to fight these guys - the only barrier to this happening, is if the American fighters duck him, or are unreasonable in negotiations!

    Hopefully HBO will give him an opportunity to be seen by boxing fans in the US - he gave us a brilliant display of boxing skills in his first HBO appearance against Andrade, not falling apart in the last round like Bute did, but continuing his impressive performance until the final bell!

    I really hope Kessler fights a big name soon. I'd love to see him destroy Froch.. He would kill him.

            I was just kidding. If he fights him, fine.

            but I'd rather see him against Taylor already.

              Taylor stil needs to beat Lacy before we can really say "He should fight him!".
              My boy Taylor will ****ing kill Lacy, so I guess we can only hope they're gonna fight.

              I'd like to see;
              Kessler-Taylor
              Kessler-Froch
              Kessler-Pavlik
              Kessler-Bute
              Kessler-Inkin

                  I'm not interested in seeing Hopkins against....anyone, really, unless it's Jones. He showed brilliance against Pavlik, and I'm more a fan now than I ever was before, but the guy is 44 years old, and will not be able to achieve that level of performance often, if ever again. I'd rather he rematched Jones, then retire, and I only want to see that because I want Bernard to get at least one really big paycheck before he's done.

                  I'd like to see Kessler/Pavlik, but I don't think the money will be that good now, or that he'd get much credit for the win, after HOpkins took Pavlik apart this month. If he can't get a Calzaghe rematch (and I don't think he can), then he's going to be running seriously short on US opponents that will do much for his pocketbook or record.

                    I would like to see that fight too, but it will be better in a year or so when Dirrell has a bigger name.
