Have you ever criticized one of your own fights from the La-Z-Boy knowin that what you're seeing on tape isnt anywhere near what you saw in the ring?Comment

OK, I'm guilty of #4. I can't help it. I even know that it's wrong BUT sometimes certain things are obvious to me, like if a fighter keeps stepping towards the strong hand of their opponent and endlessly keeps walking into a left hook, or whatever. I start shouting at the TV!
I do the same with music, and being a musician myself I'm allowed to! A musician hears music differently from a non-musician, of course. They understand how the song was created.
As for the technicalities of boxing, I probably don't know as much as I think I do.

Haha, who here hasn't been guilty of #10? Iceman, if you haven't read the "500 reasons you know you watch too much boxing" thread, you'd really enjoy it, especially based off the series you have here

All the time! It looks so different on tape than it does in person...sometimes u see a punch on video that looks harmless but you remember it as being very painful...it goes to show you, how it looks on the screen or from the audience isn't how it looks (and feels) inside the ring...Comment

PS: OK, it's official, ICEMAN will be in the building at MSG on the 8th for RJ-CALZ....anyone else going from here?????Comment

A large percentage of individuals, more than would like to admit it are guilty of this assumption. Everything looks easy from the outside looking in.http://www.maxboxing.com/news/Scully102608.asp
"4)You might be a fighter if... you have ever had that armchair boxer who watched you fight either live or on TV and he comes to you at some point after the fight to tell you what you did wrong. Then he tells you how easily you could have beaten the guy if you would have only done whatever it was that this guy thinks you should have done. He starts by saying, “All you had to do was...” like it's so easy. Like, “all you had to do was throw right hands whenever he jabbed” or “all you had to do was keep jabbing,” like the opponent was just going to stand there and let you do all these things to him, like boxing is so easy that some guy could just watch the fight from ringside or on TV and tell you not only what you did wrong but exactly what you should have done."Comment

Definitely true LOL But sometimes it's a thing where it's two weeks after your fight and you are at a restaurant with some people trying to hang loose and eat your dinner and some guy feels the need to come over and tell you how, "all you had to do was jab more."
