Sturm doesn't need to go into the States after the DLH robbery but he does need to fight Abraham if he can beat Sylvester.

Americans might not care about him but it would be a pretty big deal if he were able to beat both Sylvester and Abraham.

kess imo need a step up - alot of people on the boards have been saying that he the future for the SMW and LHW div. i would have to agree, right now with the exception of JC there is not a single fighter that i think he could not beat.

Dawson imo would be the best fighter to have a real go but even then i can see mikkel hurting him.

i think what he is doing is amrt though, alot of euro fighters often fall into the high risk and low reward category, thats why fighters from the states will often overlook them in favour of names that they know more about and names that are more well known. just look at the situation with froch and taylor/lacey.

kess imo will unify the divsion, then let the likes of bute, and taylor come to him - hopefully abraham as well. i dont think that it is case of euro fighters having a lak of ambition its just that american is real hard market to brak into because the boxers and promoters set up fights with fighters that are already known in the american boxing circles. i bet the winner of taylor and lacy will turn around and take on someone like andrade or manfredo/bika.

anyway dont you know that sylvester is just a bum i mean come on logically any fighter from europe without a belt is just useless - i thought everyone knew that?! not like the manfredo's and bika's of this world.

He had two mandatories where he COULDN'T choose his opponent, now he has the freedom to face who he wants. I don't know why everyone is slating him because he fought his legal mandatories instead of being stripped Pavlik fought Lockett who was overmatched yet no one screamed at him. If his next fight is against a cream puff then yea hes hiding away but wait till he announces his next opponent because NOW he can choose who he fights.
It looks like Kessler's next fight could be a voluntary title defense against Gusmyl Perdomo (15-2, 9 KOs) of Colombia.

If they lose, they go back into hiding for years, pulling out of fights against big names because they think they deserve more money/don't want to lose again. I am really saddened that Kessler has taken the Sturm route. Both of these guys showed a lot of potential in their close losses (Sturm to Oscar and Kessler to Calzaghe). It's a simple question. Who, if either ever does, will take on a good name again first?
yep, i was hoping to see more of kessler but he just decided to return to euro-obscurity. what a waste.

which was the whole point of me starting this thread. that's 3 no-name cupcake opponents in a row for Kessler since Calzaghe whooped him. Sturm did exactly the same thing after losing to Oscar

                  typical Euro fighters

There should be an option in the poll "DiegoFuego is posting from a mental instution" - he was put away because of his paranoid, obsessive hatred of Euros

Slyvester is actually pretty good. I wouldn't be surprised if he beat Strum. I'm kind of hoping he does too. I'm sick of Strum because he really fights no one. Randy Griffin was ok, but he needs to go away.
