I think it's more complicated than that. The IBF won't allow it. Klitschko won't vacate his title to fight Valuev. Both fighters are under contract to rival German networks.

So was Povetkin. Moreover, it is not really a known fact, but Povetkin never actually signed the contract to fight Klitschko.
His manager did not like the thickness of gloves, the size of the ring, etc...

Since Povetkin has the same promoter as Valuev, I thought it might be possible to come to an agreement on the TV deals, since they were able to do so (after some difficult negotiations) for the Povetkin fight.

because Klitschkos company won the purse bid thas why. Povetkins people didnt want the fight to be shown on HBO cause they get tons of revenue cash through their German channels.
