hand speed is a ***** and Calzaghe will find out the hard way. This is a poor choice stylistically for a sparring partner

Calzaghe might as well just stick to hitting a heavy bag, atleast he doesnt have to financially compensate a heavy bag.

Mundine is mentored by Roy Jones Senior, and Roy flies over to Australia for Mundine's big fights. I also believe he and RJJ are friendly. So it's unlikely Mundine would accept any offer to spar with Calzaghe, though it would be good sparring for both guys.

Mundine has a good jab, a hard right and good defence... he's a very good, slick fighter but I think the eye injury ruined him and is the major reason he takes soft fights. If he ever lures Felix Sturm into a fight - and I'm informed Sturm is the target - we'll see if he's got anything left. After the Green fight it looked like he might have blossomed into an exceptional fighter, but that eye infection and subsequent loss of vision rocked him. Pretty much wrecked his career.

He's not the best sparring partner.

Calzaghe probably just spars to get work in. He makes other fighters adapt to his style anyway.

Cal spars for speed. He mentioned this before. He doesn't prepare conventionally, he adapts in the ring on fight night.

That may be true but fighters should prepare for their opponents strengths and Roy is hand speed not a trait that Maccarinelli really possess in comparison to Roy. Plus The movement factor. Maybe he has other guys that he works with for Roy's game.....
