if he woulda stepped on the gas with that ;body shot attack he woulda floored the magic man, that had to be the fastest left hook to the body i have ever seen. do u agree or not?

Jones could have won that fight had he not been so scared of counter shots, although his fear was justified, Tarver countered him with a very good right hook that hurt him badly.

Fights like this are why I wish they would do 15 rounds for P4P Fights & Title Fights. I do agree with my man Roy was putting in some work, I only made this thread because I have read in so many threads that Jones ran the entire fight and was outclassed like he wasn't even competitive or something.

anyone who's seen the fight knows it was competitive, it was just a bad time for roy psychologically, he'd been starched by tarver before and then brutally knocked the f.uck out by glen johnson, that would ruin anybody's confidence. i like RJJ and glencoffe johnson but that KO made me feel sick when i first watched it, the way roy's head bounced off the canvas when he went down

roy jones was weight drained first fight, still not in full gear on the second(fatique = knockouts), tarver got in a once in a lifetime punch right on the button. on tarver 3 roy was shook, first time knocked out, he did'nt know what to believe

Yeah when Jones was K.O.'d by Johnson I Was Feeling Like I Was Gonna Puke...His Leg All Stiff & Can't Move I Was Scared He Had Brain Damage...And Frankly I Was Like Oh **** There Goes Everything He's Ever Done...I Would Love To see Roy Aggressive In This Next Fight.

Ehh...Jones won round 10, and was winning round 11 until he got caught.

Man basically round 5 shows, the descent of Roy cause he looked great that round;;; but also horrible letting Tarver put those pitty tap jabs right on his mouth... then seeming to just stand there and get caught with a vicious right!! He Won the round no doubt but where were the follow up rounds to that.... and why he let Tarver off the ropes after he landed the nice body shot and repeated uppercuts? dumb ass *****.. he better beat Calzaghe

Tarver hppens to be a very good counterpuncher. Roy knew this from the previous fights. He seemed tentative but at the same time satisfied with his efforts.

its a terrible fight, where u can see one guy who can win if he WANTS too, but he doesnt... and undertandably so... just go 12 rounds and dont get KOed.
