That's a lot more admirable than basically getting on your bicycle for the full 12 rounds like Barrera did against Pacquiao, the second time out.
I agree with your assessment 100%

In my eyes erik was the better boxer but he was to much of a warrior to fight any other way. Take a look at Marco vs Ayala and Morales vs Ayala, both erik and marco proved to be the better boxers in there respective bout against Ayala but even thou erik outclassed Ayala he still punished Ayala. Simply out boxing him was not enough. While marco got the stoppage he never pushed the action but was content simply just counter punching and never risking anything.

Marco was a warrior himself and his fans shouldnt take it as a knock that people are saying Erik was more of a warrior between the two because Erik was more of a warrior than a lot of other boxers as well.

Who was the better boxer and who had greater ring achievements are different debates than the topic of this thread.

as a big fan or erik morales, it was sad for me to see morales quit against pac but he was getting hurt badly in there against a prime fighter.

morales showed serious heart throughout his career. both are warriors but slight edge to erik

You didnt ask who is gayer or who knocked out who. You asked who is more of a warrior. Marquez got dropped 3 times in the first round by Pac and and got his **** all busted up. He fought the rest of the 11 rounds with a broken nose. He stood back up after all three and came back to put an awesome and competative show...for the full 12. Just a year earlier barrera gets the **** beat out of him and gets knocked out in the later rounds and gets the fight stopped after his corner sees he doesent have any balls to fight. What about the 2nd pac-barrera fight? dont tell me he was a full on warrior in that fight. He went in their to get a paycheck and proving he can last the whole 12. Morales was more of a warrior because he actually came to throw it down even though he knew he was completely screwed health wise...not to mention he holds a win over pac. JMM fought Pac in two awesome, close, and disputable fights and busted pac up more than anyone else. JMM>Barrera.

Morales by far. At least Morales fought until he got knocked down like 2 times in the third. Barrera the second time just showed up for the payday.

Morales would always fight when he had trouble. Barrera would get frustrated and use dirty tactics when in trouble or behind on the cards.

Barrera wanted out of that fight during round 7. You could tell he wanted the fight stopped the way he was pleading to the doc and ref just because of a tiny cut. The way he fought afterwards, he seemed resigned to the fact that there was no way of turning it around the way things were going and it took more rounds of punishment for his corner to realize that and finally concede. So you can say he quit winning the fight but was just trying to avoid being KO'ed in that beat down. On the 2nd fight, he was pretty much on survival mode throughout and didn't want to engage Pac in a toe-to-toe exchange. Morales fought back until he went down and couldn't fight back anymore.

Both Barrera and Morales are great warriors but sometimes some people have too high expectations of that tag.

It was so tiny it was cute.

Nah... it was only a trickle and Marco wanted that fight stopped. David Diaz's cut was flowing blood like the Niagara Falls but he kept on plugging away till the bitter end.
