should Boxing be winner take all

should Boxing be winner take all as apose to both fighters getting paid ?if it were winner takes all i dare say we would not have to suffer Joke fights like Dela Hoya v Pac,Jones v Calz, etc etc

i think fighters would chase the pot of gold and take more risks fighting the best available and we would see more intriguing fights etc

Both fighters deserver a payday for getting their heads punched in for 12 rounds.

There would be alot less fighters participating in the sport if that was the case, alot of risk for little reward.

I think thats a bad idea. What I think is a good idea is an extra incentive, so that the winner gets extra money, like the winner gets part of the PPV sales and the loser only gets his purse. May lead to more competitive fights.

but maybe some kind of bonus for the winner, if that isn't already the case

I dont think that would be a good idea. Although it would make for one hell of a fight, many fighters would be reluctant to even participate in a sport where there is a 50/50 chance that they wont see a dime after the fight.

What i DO think would be a good idea is having the winner take the bigger peice of the pie. Something like a 60/40 or 70/30 split. That sure as hell will ensure that these guys go in there to ****ing FIGHT!

No but I think the winner should get more money. Boxing has gotten away from being a sport and becoming more of business. If you are the reason people are coming out to see a fight you should get paid but maybe there should be a UFC type rule where the winner gets more. Maybe like 60/40 of part of the purse could go to the winner.

Fighters risk their lives in the ring. Damn if they don't deserve to get paid for it. But I agree wit those who said winner should get a bigger slice of the pie.

A fighter should get paid respectfully for their draw power, but a nice incentive for WINNING the fight wouldn't be bad.
