because he has taken away from the fans a lot of possible instant classics fights.

imagine leonard wouldt have fight duran, or hearns, etc.... that would have ****** big time.

according to the majority of his diehard fans, its because he's black. forget the fact that they are fans of other black fighters, musicians, artists, etc. when it comes to floyd, its just because he's black, domain.

Mayweather's entire selling point is to create an obnoxious persona to make people want to see him lose so they buy tickets.

I've stayed up till 4am to watch him fight people I know won't beat him just because I wanted to see him lose so badly.

I like him now, but it took a long time. But the reason why a lot of people hate him is that he WANTS them to.

Its the him being a fake douche thing. The fact that he is an amazing fighter makes his douchy attitude even more depressing. Plus his fans (or his most vocal ones) are usually 13 year old *****rs.

Perfect call. His talent didn't make him a star cuz his style ain't excitin. So he created the whole Money May thing to get people to hate his guts and tune in hopin to see him get KTFO. Worked like a charm.
