Why would it be wrong for him to fight one of the most dangerous fighters in the sport who happens to be #1 P4P?

Mayweather/Pacquiao is more natural and De La Hoya/Pacquiao.

assuming Pac beats DLH, then no, I would not discredit him for coming back and fighting the number 1 p4p.

what if he gives DLH a hell of a fight, but still comes up short?

pointless to come out of retirement to fight a guy coming off a loss, unless he fought him as a warm up for a williams or marg fight.
Plus, if Oscar wins, Floyd is coming out of retirement to face him. It sucks, but it is a fact.
Most likely Floyd will fight the winner of Pac v DLH.

Why diss him? It's a more credible fight than the DLH farce by far, although still anotha mismatch Pac would lose to a bigger guy. He should fight a ****in WW when he comes back, but I wouldn't be flat out pissed if he fought Pac.
