Is ODLH passing the "I cherry pick every fight" torch to Manny Pac?

    Serious question.

After this fight will Manny go back to lightweight and clear a division or is he gonns start with Ricky Hatton bull**** as soon as this ODLH fight is over?

to be fair manny has fought the best..and like oscar and floyd he's winding up his career and just wants the money fights now..so leave him alone..atleast like floyd hes fighting bigger opponents..thats the reason i dont respect oscar hes doing the opposite

Manny is fighting a guy effectively 3 weight classes above him, if he actually manages to beat DLH then it's a great acheivement, if he then fights Hatton (if hatton wins) and beats him it's another great achievement but hopefully after DLH, Hatton he'll settle at lighweight and try and clear up

Really this is a yes or no question and nobody has bothered to answer yet.

Is Manny the "New Oscar" from here on out?

I'd say yes actually. I mean Oscar gave us some great fights, but it seems like he'd rather fight Hatton then Marquez again.

I think Manny has already begun the cherry picking with Diaz. Diaz was the weakest of the lightweights and now Manny goes for Oscar. Although Oscar is huge and most likely Manny won't win, Manny did decide to take this fight for the money and name recognition. It's a painful way but he did pick it. After this is will be Hatton for the next biggest effective paycheck considering Hatton's fanbase in england and then who knows. 1 more opponent to end a legendary career? Possibly a p4p fight with Floyd if he comes back and they meet at lets say 143?

Fighting De la Hoya and Hatton or even Mayweather is cherry picking? LOL... what's a guy got to do these days to get some respect? I'll take those 3 over any lightweight in contention today, except for Juan Manuel Marquez.

what floyd did is opposite of what manny is doing.

the money is the same but the quality of opposition isn't.

you can argue cotto and margarito are more dangerous opponents to floyd than oscar and ricky.

you can't argue the same with manny. how the hell is any lightweight be more dangerous than oscar and ricky for manny?
