    Too many World Title Belts?

I think that we have too many of is World titles. If you ask me there should only be 1 main world title belt per weight division. I know there is only 4 that are truly respected (wbc, ibf, wba, wbo). But then we have a load of others (ibo, ibc, wbc americas, nabo) etc etc etc. But In my opinion there should be just 1 World Champion per division, And only 1 ranking system aswell. Would Keep it a lot more organized, and just overall better. 1 true champ.

    what you all think?

1 belt per division would be the dream of all, but i would be very happy if they can at least reduce them to three belts. that would be a great improvement.

Agreed, it's bloody nightmare. Whats the point in having ranking if there's 6 different ones all different, completely ruins the point.

Everyones a world champion and it's creating dead locks in fights, politics and all sorts. It's actually putting me a serious boxing fan off the sport because you just can't keep up with it, and it's getting more corrupt and not less.

Take David Haye saying I will fight a top 10 fighter. All casual fans are like oh ok there's only 10 guys he's looking at. When infact with so many ranking systems by different organisations placed differently, it could be bloody anyone. That clearly takes the piss out of the system when you can say top 10 and it has no meaning, it's a joke and a discrace.

i remember when i started watching boxing last year it took me a lot of time to understand the issue of all the belts.
the thing i was most confused was the regular wba belt. i was like WTF, there is already a champion there, whats the point of this xD.
        too confusing and useless.

It's been thought of 100 times before but it will never happen, the companies have a legal right to be there unfortuantly. Nothing we can do about it, besides lots of peoples resumes would be worse take Margarito, beating Cintron would have gotten him nothing if there was 1 but because Cintron had a world title belt he was a recognised name

Not saying that it's good though, two world titles belts I can deal with

Hell yeah there are too many belts. Although a couple that you mentioned aren't really WORLD championship belts. NABO is the north american champion and wbc americas is just that. **** all that, I just go by the ring magazine belt.

Agreed. I hate hearing this: "ranked 12th by the WBO, 9th by IBF, and the present IBA champion." its just dumb.
