You figure Floyd could fight at about 158 and maintain his speed right? I dont know. I dont think he'd get killed anymore, but I still cant see him winning. He'd have to fight the most negative fight of his career. Floyd still needs to clinch, and parry punches to be fully effective. Against Pavlik that'd be difficult. Hopkins is 6'1 and has a longer reach. He also hits a lot harder.

I'm really not sure about this..... I mean, I know Floyd's slick and all, but what we saw last Saturday - predicted by me - was a heavy-handed MW getting outboxed by a LHW.

Looking at how Bernard effectively reducted Pavlik to a punching bag by moving to Kelly's right I'd say Mayweather decision.

I've been saying this **** for a while. Floyd U.D'z Pavlik...I came to that conclusion after watching Pavlik vs Taylor 2 and the B-Hop fight proved it.

Mayweather certainly has the skills to pull a 'Nard on Kelly. But damn man, that's a huge size difference no matter how you slice it. Kelly is nearly 6'3", comes in fight night around 170lbs, Floyd is 5'8" and always weighs in at 147lbs-150lbs.

I'd pick Mayweather obviously, given the speed and skill advantage and Pavlik's incredible molasses reflexes.

But if Floyd got caught, damn. But he wouldn't.

Call me crazy but I think it is best he came in at 154

i think kelly being so tall would play into mayweathers gameplan even more, it would make floyd even more elusive and hard to catch

try to visualize floyd and pavlik in the ring... and how pavlik would catch him, i dont see it.. with floyds flinch like reflexes, he would create perfect distance everytime pavlik made a move

That's the main reason I edge him to outpoint Kelly. Floyd's reflexes, not the size difference. It takes Pavlik approximately 8.7 seconds to respond to a landed punch.

And that's only if you land one single shot, if you throw combos like Bernard did he freezes up and takes 19.5 seconds.

lol... i see floyd using that ducking jab to the stomach he does a lot... and basically just waiting for kelly to make a mistake or a lazy feeler jab, and floyd would counter it, and move
