lol This ****in cotton candy in the chin ass Puerto Rican is just bitter.

The fact Paq is steppin up this much is huge, I'll give Manny that. Manny only fights these older guys, but atleast this older guy is bigger lol.

But the only thing that keeps this bout semi legitimate is the fact that Oscar can move from 147 and 154 with ease. I have a strong feeling he'll win, and because of that, he needs to make a final fight with a bigger guy.

Now Cotto has power and a weak chin. Just like Trinidad. Only Trinidad had more power to hide behind, so if Cotto's gonna be a *****, dont' blame Oscar, blame that weak ass chin. And the next time he's in a major fight, Maybe Cotto should consider finishing it, as oppose to quitting.

Big ups to Miguel! he can talk the talk because he walks the walk. Oscar needs to check himself so peeps like Cotto and Margarito don't have to keep doin' it for him.

Cotto is completly right these fights are bad for boxing EVERYBODY watches and joe public goes away thinking "**** thats the best in boxing!? Pfft! Give me a good competetive UFC fight!"

Miguel Cotto does what a fighter should, he fights whoever is put infront of him and ducks no man, class in victory and in defeat - Haters go **** urselves!

I think that fights like this are bad for boxing for a different reason, and it's kinda based on what you said. Granted this fight will make Bank, be very successful financially and do well on the PPV front

but if your bold statement is true, then it hurts boxing most in the image department.

I would go more in depth, but ya know that's an interesting idea for a topic, so I'll hold out, but check my "Boxing's Image" topic to come later today.

and still, maybe it isn't Cotto's place to talk about DLH .. especially since he and Pacquiao are both Top Rank boxers .. and this little blurb doesn't help positively promote the fight, but he's still entitled to his opinion

and I still have to say that his quote (at least the first part) for me very accurately describes not just the fight, but the overall boxing scene.

"a fight like this makes you realize how boxing has fallen"

I mean is that what boxing has come down to? taking the biggest names you can find and just throwing them at each other?

because yeah that might make for big fights, but is bigger always better?

You talked about quiting? That's what DLH did against Tito, he ran for 3 rds. If Cotto has such a weak chin how come DLH never fought him or better yet, why didn't De la Polla fight the winner of Cotto -Margarito like he said and instead is fighting a guy that had only 1 fight at LW and is now going up to WW. You can't talk **** about Cotto because even with his "soft chin" he wants to rematch Margo which is something that Bithchlahoya never got the balls to do.

It can't hurt boxing if this fight is a total sell out and will supposedly be a big PPV seller.

As long as this fight is exciting it will be good for boxing. if its a dud then you can make that arguement. The people who think this is a shame are right but they are the hard core boxing fans. The other people watching just want action and violence. They dont care if Manny is too small.

Believe me, it won't be a dud or boring. These two will make it an exciting "slugfest" I guess you would call it. JAT
