That is what makes this fight so exciting. Haye most likely can't take Barrett's power and we don't know if Barrett can take Haye's. It's gonna be a toss up, really. First guy to land big is gonna win.

That's pretty much been the story of Haye's last 22 fights.

Who is better technically though?? Their not just gonna get in there and windmill till one of em drops....If they both cant take each others power then its gonna come down to game plans and defence!!

Haye, if his game plan is right, is going to go on the defensive and look to counter Barrett all night with a big right hand (exactly like the Enzo fight). He will be too fast for Barrett to land a punch, too powerful for Barrett to handle and we will see a fairly early KO with Haye virtually untouched.

However, i think Haye wants to impress the public, show that he's going to be exciting and KO everyone early, which he doesn't/shouldn't need to do. So he might decide to be ****** and go all out offensive trying to knock him out with everything he's got and most likely get tagged by Barrett and get himself in trouble. This is exactly how Haye shouldn't fight and it's the kind of risk he can't afford to take. If he stays cool and defensive then he won't have any problems, that's when he fights best imo.

Monte is kind of like McCline except not as good but has worse luck.

Great post. I think you might be right here. He's going to want to win in dominating fashion in this fight for sure. It'd do him the world of good and send a few shock waves through the division that he's for real. There's a few things that will determine how he plays this on on the night I reckon.

He's been talking him self up, saying he's going to knock out these fat heavy weights, but that's faded a bit now that he's landed a fight and Wlad is open to a fight next year. It's as if the trash talking has served it's purpose successfully. In the press conference with Barrett we you see a totally different attitude, saying he's mouthed off and if he doesn't make it he may quit, whats the point he'd look a fool. He's eager to see IF he can handle the guys power at HW etc.

Two totally different characters there, no doubt Haye will come in charged, zoned out as he always does. So it depends how much his ego gets in the way. I think it will a little and he'll get caught out, hopefully it'll just be enough for a warning shot to change and not lights out.

A big cheeky ego, over eagerness to impress don't mix well with low hands and a suspect chin.

Indeed, he just has to stay smart, you can't brawl with Heavyweights with a suspect chin. He doesn't brawl well imo, that's not Haye's style. He should play it like he did in the Macca fight, that was a perfect fight from Haye.
