also Valuev may not be slick but that is not what Holy struggles with IMO he struggles more with big guys that use the jab consistently
    I agree with Terrible here.

Plus, Valuev is gonna be so much bigger and around 11 (?) inches taller than Holyfield.. And Holyfield is not really anywhere near his best days .

When I first read the thread topic, I thought easy answer. But on second thought, well, it's apples and oranges, and they're definitely gonna be both huge mismatches imo.

With PAC and DLH, not only do you have a size issue, but DLJoto is so much more skilled than PAC and that makes it even more dangerous, because DLJoto is gonna be laying all kinds of traps for the over-aggressive PAC.

With Valuev and Holyfield, it's the opposite, it's the smaller fighter who has all the boxing know how, but his age and Valuev is the size of Bigfoot.

        Evander is pass shot.....good post!

How can you tell if a fighter is shot? I mean everyone was claiming B-Hop was shot......then boom! He beats Kelly. Now Roy is supposed to be shot, now if he beats Joe on Nov. 8.......what then? Are we as loyal followers of the sport guilty of not knowing ENOUGH about the athletes we so enormously adore? Or is the state of boxing so f***** up that 2 of the sports top stars can lose the 0 in the L column to 2 shot fighters?

That's a good read on how to tell if a fighter is shot.

Holyfield is ****ing 40 and fighting a guy that will outweigh him by AT LEAST 50 pounds. At least Pac has SOME sort of chance.

Holyfield vs. Valuev is much worse.

Pacquiao actually has a good chance of winning because Oscar is past his prime.

Holyfield is still a vet with experience and skills but his body just wont allow him to do the things his mind knows how to..... and this is were fighters get seriously injured

Manny is still a great fighter in his prime or well around it...actually i was very impressed with his last performance, he had great power, better defence, fast legs and he was fighting smart, he has more of a chance against a once great now part time fighter like De la Hoya even if hes so much bigger. On the contrary Holyfield is shot, his body cant take punishment no more, even from a not so powerful and not so awesome fighter like Vaulev
