I guess you can say his story was from rags to riches. Shannon Briggs, who was once a homeless man living on the streets found a name for himself in boxing by beating former Olympic gold medalist, Ray Mercer and provided some excitement from the Lewis fight. However, he was awarded a victory against George Foreman, what a disgrace that was too, I thought he lost that fight. He lost to Sultan Ibragimov by UD and drew with Botha. Throughout his career he would complain about every little thing, if he really was in distress one word would cure that "retire". If he lost he'd blame it on his injuries all the time.
