I'm glad I'm not the only one that thought that. IMO it was a class move by Hopkins, and I do not think he would have done it if he didn't see something in Kelly.

        Hopkins is officially Pavlik's Daddy.
Have you actually seen Pavlik fight?

I respect the fact that Bernard respects Kelly, said he's a fan before the fight and he likes how he came up the hard way and earned his place. I do think Kelly is slightly one-dimensional and have always said the same thing even before the Hopkins fight, but he's young enough to improve. He needs to work on lateral movement and he'd be an improved fighter. Maybe get another trainer to help out? I'm not impressed with Jack Loew. I just hope Kelly can bounce back, learn from the lesson Hopkins gave him, and prove wrong all the haters who appeared all of a sudden since his loss.

          Good luck KELLY!

First of all, anyone who saw Kelly fight prior, realized there was just something different from the opening bell to the last one. Clearly something wasn't quite right. (I give Hop all the credit in the world for schooling him and take nothing away from his dominating performance.) Kelly has a very good chin and excellent stamina. His defense is definitely lacking as he usually takes alot of shots in most all of his fights. If he perhaps incorporates some "other" trainers to help and critique him on the defensive gameplan, I think he will have a total package. Sure he could use some more in his offensive arsenal but I mean come on, it has worked pretty well to this point ehh? To say, especially after one loss, that he is a bum is just uneducated hating. Kelly has a long career ahead of him and has plenty of time to mold himself into a complete fighter rather than simply a power puncher. I actually, in a very strange way, think this loss will do nothing but help Kelly in the longrun and that's coming from a hardcore Pavlik fan. Time will tell and he will continue to rule the MW division for as long as he stays there. To say he is a bum is just ignorant on all levels.

I'm not joking when I say this -- Kelly might do well to try and get some lessons from Hopkins for a while. It makes perfect sense. Hopkins spotted holes in his technique, took advantage of them, and won easily. Who better to get some tips from than the man who picked your style apart?

Realistically, it'll probably never happen, but if I was Kelly I'd get on the phone to Bernard and discuss it. 'Nard did say after the fight that he'd get him in the gym and work with him on his technique, which I thought was a very kind offer.

I would love to see Hops become a trainer. I think he would make a REALLY good one.

I guess everyone feels the same way I do regarding the training situation. That would be cool if it happened.
