That just shows the quality of athletes in boxing compared to most MMA Fighters. Again, I say MOST. Anderson Silva is a beast.f

When a guy gets knocked out in 10 seconds in MMA, the guy knocked out could have just been "unlucky"

In boxing, it means you probably shouldfind a new career.

In old rules, back when it was REAL Mixed Martial Arts (also known as No Holds Barred aka REAL FIGHTING) no one wore gloves. Tank Abbot and Don Frye were actually pioneers in wearing those fingerless gloves back then. The brand don frye is wearing are boxergenics the original brand back before anyone else really made them.

Anyway the gloves were allowed but not required. Just as you'll notice wrestling shoes were allowed but not required (although by this UFC they had put in a rule that said if you wore shoes for traction you could not kick).

Here it is. It won't let me imbed.

          Warning: It's brutal.
That's why John McCain labeled it "barbaric" and "human ****fighting". I see punches to the back of the head, the kidneys, and a lot of other things. Mind that they have changed the rules a bit, but Don Frye is still a bum and always has been. He could never have even been competitive in boxing.

Much more entertaining. Not barabaric at all if you want to call yourself a "real fighter". Also it was up to the refs discretion. I think this fight in particular went on too long. If you want it, you'll see what I mean. Really rough brutal stuff.

Knees to a downed opponents skull for 10 minutes straight. ****ed up.

The old rules were much more interesting than the crap that they have on now. Not talking about skill level but at least these guys had tons of heart.

Good info. I did know that it was no holds bar back in the day. Or Vale Tudo if you will. You could even punch guys in the nuts.

Agree to this. Used to watch classic MMA fights, they're like street fighters from everywhere, until Royce Gracie dominated.

Yes. Watch Keith Hackney vs. Joe Son in UFC 4. Hackney rabbit punches Joe Son in the balls about 80 times. Still doesn't get him to tap out.
