This I agree with and your right about that. What you said is understood...but is it POSSIBLE for Floyd to be greater then SRL, and SRR in this era? You really think Floyd could have possibly have beaten B-Hop at 160? Prime Forrest at 154? Just too damn late to get a crack at prime Tito at 147...wayyy too late when the DLH fight happend...Funny because Floyd spoke about skipping 135/140 just to get at prime DLH. Ok let me get on to...I'm bisically sayin it is IMPOSSIBLE for Floyd to be GREATER then SRL which is unfair considering the boxerz from then and now.
Floyd Mayweather is no Robinson !!!

He might not be able to match them in this era but he could have gotten very close, If he really wanted to be up there with Robinson and Leonard then he would have (after 130-135 his career down there was fine) moved to 140 and faced Gatti etc. and Tszyu at 140 then Hatton at 140 moved to 147 after Baldo and Judah then faced Margarito or Cotto then moved to 154 (after DLH) and beaten Forrest and I think it's very plausable as Hopkins showed that Mayweather may be able to have beaten Pavlik but if he stopped at Forrest he would have been top 10 atg status. This I agree with and your right about that. I was one of the few who said Floyd would have been able to beat Pavlik. I bet many don't think I'm crazy now eh?! Evidence was the Pavlik vs Taylor 2. Also Floyd could have possibly beaten Forrest...a prime Forrest is more dangrous for Floyd then Pavlik. Floyd could have possibly accomplished this but name a fighter on Floyd's resume who is GREATER then Wilfred Benitez? Name ONE...impossible and I laugh because Wilfred was beaten by SRL and SRL beat greater fighterz in Duran, Hagler, Hearns...He might not be able to match them in this era but he could have gotten very close, If he really wanted to be up there with Robinson and Leonard then he would have (after 130-135 his career down there was fine) moved to 140 and faced Gatti etc. and Tszyu at 140 then Hatton at 140 moved to 147 after Baldo and Judah then faced Margarito or Cotto then moved to 154 (after DLH) and beaten Forrest and I think it's very plausable as Hopkins showed that Mayweather may be able to have beaten Pavlik but if he stopped at Forrest he would have been top 10 atg status.
Sometimez I wonder if Floyd would have stayed at 130-135 would he have been greater? We're talking Pac, MAB, EM, JMM...this he could have easily accomplished.Comment

It's going to be extremely tough to beat Robinson's legacy. Coming near it is a feat in itself. Quantity+Quality+Speed+Power+Technique...this dude had it all...Comment

I dont think thats exactly fair. I would hold him a cut below Leonard, mostly due to lack of outstanding comp like Leonard had, and I would hold Leonard a cut below Robinson because, well, SRR was the hottest **** out there. Still I think throwing their names into the same conversation is fair.
Mayweather really did have an amazing career, 39-0, beating world champions at 130, 135, 140, 147 and finally 154. Floyd had the odds against him that, great or not, eventually somebody would catch up to him, and he still never lost. Pretty good **** if you ask me.Comment

Even best for now is questionable...the kat is not in the game now...so we can't even say his the best for now if he is not in the mix to prove it...let him come back and beat Cotto, Marg, or even give a more convincing win vs DLH then maybe we can consider him best for now...certainly not best of all time though...hell nah...Comment
