    Abraham on Pavlik

    Abraham talks on Pavlik loss!
"That was a boxing lesson for Kelly Pavlik," said IBF middleweight champion Arthur Abraham, commenting on previously unbeaten WBC/WBO champion Kelly Pavlik's unexpected loss in a non-title fight to 43-year-old former champ Bernard Hopkins over the weekend. "During the whole fight he never had the slightest chance to hurt Hopkins. Once again it showed that inside the ring you don't have to be the stronger or the younger boxer –- the most intelligent will always win, and Hopkins certainly was more intelligent." As for his future plans, Abraham said, "I will make my mandatory defense against Raul Marquez, [then] I will be happy to come to the USA in February to battle it out for the super championship with Kelly Pavlik –- if Kelly still has enough power and the courage to fight me."

AA had about as much chance before the Hop fight in beating Kelly than he does right now. Kelly will unify and move up. AA is a stepping stone he should of waited for, but oh well, he'll get his soon enough.

Uh I'd love this fight to happen. But I don't think that he should underestimate Pavlik.

I agree not many people have a chance against a combination punching Hopkins.

yup, kelly got schooled. still don't change the fact that in his last 3 out of 4 fights he fought the mw chamnpion, and bernard hopkins! easy to monday morning qb arthur, and who is on your resume again? oh yeah that's right, edison miranda! at least pavlik has the balls to fight anyone, and you can stay in your comfort zone fighting elvin ayala! we know artie would never have the balls to fight a fighter of bhops status that's for sure! winning and losing is one thing, but not if you don't have the stones to face the biggest challenges!

at least he didn't bash him and was respectful . . . the fight is a pick'em fight for me with AA having the slight advantage right now. but we have to see kelly back in the ring with rubio . . . see what he looks like and then talk about a fight with AA and who the winner may be.
but even then it wouldn't be all that clear cut to pick a winner . . . and it would be AA biggest test, we really do not know how he'll do against a high caliber opponent like kelly.
