You misunderstand the definition of chin, Marquez has a decent chin but a great chin means you can stay up after taking punishment. It was his heart and survival skills thats kept him in the round and it was a huge punch not an arm punch, Marquez's face turned 90 degrees look at fearless BONG's sig

I thought the fight was over as well, Even though there was only 10 seconds left in that round i was still shocked that he survived.

Even though the punch was a short one it was still a dangerous punch that landed right on the temple, It was a quick speedy punch that you dont see coming and those are the punches that knocks you out.

that was an arm punch that pac landed on him. He hit him the moment Jmm threw his left. It was just perfect timed arm punch that dropped him. Flash knock down, but props to JMM he has great recovery.

            it wasn't a flash knockdown.

a flash knockdown is when you get dropped but not really hurt.

jmm was hurt and hurt bad.

only his heart and conditioning saved him. i doubt anyone 140 and down could have survived a punch like that.

it was right on the button. it was a short punch but it was perfectly thrown and landed.

No, it was an arm punch. That is impossible to argue. Look at Pacquiao's foot. It does not turn at all. All the power in a punch comes from the legs and the torque you get from turning into it. Its all about the weight transfer. Marquez was too far over to his own left (Pacquiao's right) and Pacquiao would have put himself off balance, taken too much time (it probably would not have landed) and left himself open if he turned his foot over on it. Its a good shot, but it is an arm punch.

I'd say Marquez does have a pretty good chin. Morales and Barrera had great chins and Pacquiao dropped them. Marquez took most of the shots Pac threw standing up. Sure he has been dropped a bunch, but he has a pretty good chin. It may not be granite but its beyond decent.

what we need to remember is that Pacquiao has knocked JMM 4 times now and all 4 times, JMM has been able to recover and gather himself. Now, to say that he has a "weak chin" is a little overboard. A weak chin keeps you from getting up, a weak chin keeps you from having a succesful career for the most part. Casamayor has decent power for a lightweight and JMM was able to take some of his shots pretty well. Just because one of the hardest punchers P4P in the sport knocks you down 4 times doesn't mean you have a weak chin.

yup. he has a good chin.

david diaz has a good chin and manny hurt him more than he did marquez (yes david got hit a lot more too but he's fought at 140 and 147)

Marquez doesn't have the best chin but his heart is top notch.

I really respect him as a fighter.

JMM up because of the magical power of mexicans who can somehow channel their spiritual energy and give power to their fighter.... kinda like how goku powered up his spirit bomb to defeat broli.
