Nice spin.
First, they come out with a press release saying that they're pursuing Concepcion and/or Penalosa and that Sergio Medina is but another option, when all the while they have made their minds up with Sergio Medina! They know too well that Concepcion cannot be trained by Roach if this happens Dec 6, and being under the same promotions - Toprank, they know fully well that Concepcion is already scheduled on a different card. With these in mind they come out with a pathetic press release insinuating that they are doing everything to pursue Concepcion - hogwash.
"Filipino Bernabe Concepcion was also being considered for the fight, but they felt Medina had the better record...Medina has a good record and is a solid fighter. He has better record than Bernabé Conception. Overall, a fight with Concepcion did not contribute anything new to the event, since the Philippines market is a lock to watch with Pacquiao. If all turns out well with Medina, Penalosa is the candidate we would like for Juanma's first fight in 2009, in either February or March."
The fools want us to believe that Concepcion isn't worthy, but they're pursuing him anyway, and have replace him with a "better" fighter. How in the world is Medina's record better than Concepcion's? That guy fought only once outside Argentina and has faced nothing but a who's who of Argentine tomato-cans.
Interesting. Juanma's camp actually went to the trouble to come out with a release belittling Concepcion as a fighter, discrediting him and at the same time ruling him out as a next opponent.
Bottomline, Juanma "bum assasin" Lopez is only interested in patsies.
