Personally I admire him for his strong spirit. People need to have beleif to succeed, and people also get along on sheer will alone. Is there anything wrong with being spiritually strong? I don't think there is. If he fails, though, he simply wasn't up to passing the test he has set for himself and possibly needed to learn a lesson.
