it would look alot like miranda/pavlik....imo barkley wasnt very technical and relied on his toughness and size to bully opponents. pavlik should be able to outbox him for a couple of rounds and stop him. if barkley wins, it would be on a perfectly placed (lucky) left hook ala tommy hearns.

Barkley was more technical than most people think, it wasnt only Hearns he caught with that counter left hook. it was a great weapon for him. that was no 'lucky' left hook, he used it successfully against plenty of fighters.

It'd be a rough fight, but I think Pavlik would get to him later on with his straighter, more consistent punching.

I agree with you though, Barkley wasn't as crude as some make him out to be.

Defn seems to be pick on Pavlik week now. All these Pavlik threads and who and how they'd beat him. Pretty sad fighter loses 1 fight to an ATG 10 LBS out his weight class and all these threads pop up!
