Man, that was obvious from his first post in the thread.

nard sure had other things to do from the day he chose to price himself out of jones, he needed to stick at 160 and fight such stellar competition as hakkar, joppy and allen
(not to mentio he lost huge momentum for fighting once in the year following the trinidad victory.....)

like i said.......****ing LUCKY that oscar decided to go suicidal...

Hahah you're just a hater who has probably never stepped in a ring. So then, at what point did you want Hopkins to move up to fight Roy? Oscar had been talking of moving up to middleweight and fighting BHop since 2003. Bernard had been workin on that fight for years, and Roy had been doing the commentary on his fights talking about moving up to fight at heavyweight. Bernard was said he'd fight him after he finished his business with Tarver, and unfortunately the unmentionable happened. So after cementing his middleweight legacy Bernard came up to beat Tarver and is now working on the rematch.

In the boxing world that is what you call 'mandatories'. Bernard was in a middleweight unification tournament. It wasn't 'lucky' that oscar got suicidal, it was a plan he had been discussing since '03.

You mean a full year AFTER negotiations took place between Roy and Hops?

And that second bold...Roy was AT heavy then because the Hops fight never materialized.

This sort of comment is just ridiculous.

Getting into a war with Hyperion is a sure path to embarressment and destruction by the way.

yeah trying to hold on to some trinket belts(and he lsot one anyway)....of huge importance when youve already PROVED youre the best in the world and the division is unversally recognised as cleaned up(apprt from being ****)....

and not many people believed oscar was gonna fight nard, hoya started seeing nard in his radar a year and a half after nard had celaned up mw..not to mention he had already booked tune up and fight with mosley that wuld keep him busy for the whole 03.......jones was seeen as a much more viable fight all through 2002.....plenty of time for nard to say......im gonna do something worthwhile(maybe at a higher division to persue the jones fight) instead of fighting once and losing the momentum of the trinidad fight.
