When a guy beats somebody so handily, it's usually an indicator that he "has the guy's #." It also applies to a situation like Mayo-Forrest as stated above, when a guy beats somebody who's much better than him, but that don't mean it can't be true when the better fighter wins. When 2 fighters' styles are synchronized to the point that 1 guy can't do what he does best to win the fight, I'd call that havin a guy's #.

Like LHT said, Having someones number is applied when a lesser fight beats a much more skilled fighter (Mayorga-Forrest etc), Hopkins is just the better fighter.

Sarcasm is pretty hard to detect in words unless you overdo it to a point where it's obvious. Apologies.

                  PERFECT!!!!!!!

I've been meaning to ask you but I always forget.

                  1) What does "I can haz turbo?" mean?
                  2) What did your previous username mean (917-30)?

I think the answer to # 2 is, It's some race car or some ****.

Of course, Mr. Pea will be able to confirm this..

                      1) One of my friends had a turbo build up on his Mustang in a forum a long time ago. He had pics during the build, and it ended up with him naming the car the "I can haz turbo" car (It trapped in the 150 mph range in the 1/4 mile.)
                      2) The 917-30 was the most powerful of Porsche's legendary 917 line of racing cars. They developed 1400 horse power on high boost (These were turbo cars as well). The only racing cars that have surpassed them in terms of power are drag cars. And this was back in the 1970's. They were FAR ahead of there time.
