In North America, it's usually been the white guy losing the fight.

Hopkins is getting alot of praise as of late so i'll take Calzaghe and Dawson (Harding, Adamek, Johnson and Tarver and is still one of the lesser names)

I would say joe calzaghe, vladmir klitchko, larry holmes interms of the mainstream media, Sergey Dzinziruk is a little underrated but he hasnt fought really good boxer at 154.

              Mayweather.

Roger Mayweather, that is. As a fighter he seems to be under-appreciated on these boards.

Juan Diaz. He held a minor title when he was only 21, which hasnt been done in a long time.

hes only 25, yet hes beaten Lakva Sim, Julian Lorcy, Freitas, and Julio Diaz...all former champs...along with guys like Billy Irwin, Francisco Lorenzo, Jose Miguel Cotto, Randy Suico and Michael Katsidis. most 'prospects' are older than him.

                most underrated active fighter.

Dzinziruk defeated Santos, yet The Ring rates him not only lower than Santos, but lower than Alcine who was KOed by Santos.

yea, I was talking about right now. none of those guys are champs at the moment.
although interestingly enough, I think Francisco Lorenzo is...he got that BS Dq win over Soto, didnt he? hmmm. I dunno. I dont think they ever gave him that title...

another thing you have to love about Juan is that he cut the bull**** and unified the division in three fights. devended his WBA a few times, then went on a killing spree and had two unification fights in row. Wish we had more fighters like him.
