    Did Hopkins Fought a 2 Division Lower from His Division?

    No Hate and No Excuse but seems like he fought a man 2 division lower...

    It's like Mosley and Margarito calling out the Lightweights.

    Not quite two divisions, it was at a catchweight of 170.

    Hopkins had a size advantage, but not a huge one. Hopkins is not a big light-heavyweight, as he's twice fought @ 170 in the past year and a half. Pavlik is a big middleweight as well.

      Fighting smaller fighters is something Hopkins has never done. He never built a career doing that.

          True, and he never fought a cruiserweight.

          He always chose his opponents either from smaller or equal weight divisions.

                He fought a lot of smaller men, but never fought a bigger man.

                Jones went up to HW and won a title.

                Hopkins got little guys like Oscar to move up in weight to fight him.
