I've always mentioned that Pavlik-Winky would be a good scrap. Their styles can make for an exciting bout. Winky is no B-Hop, he has defense but won't dance and back away. Winky won't be able to hurt Pavlik either. Pavlik's punches would break down Winky's guard like JT did.

i dont think he can beat arthur abraham, abraham picks his punches very well and is a thinking fighter, after about 3 rounds he will know what punches to use against kelly.

personally i think he could KO him.

more or less everyone can beat kelly at 168 (top contenders anyway), imo he needs a better trainer and a good conditioner.

I am with you on this one.
          Abraham
          Sturm
          Winky
          Williams
          Anyone moving up from 54
I would have Kelly over any of these guys. 168 is a different story. Calzaghe at this point I would pick to win a decently wide decision over Kelly, any of the other top guys at that weight would would would be only slight favorite/dogs.

That is because you're a nutthugging ******, get off my topic ******. How is Pavlik going to handle someone like andrade who can't be hurt by Pavliks punches? And Andrade keeps improving with each fight, you're just an ignorant little ****. And Lucian Bute has good technical skills, can Pavlik stop him? Maybe but Lucian Bute still could beat him by decision. You're a dumb **** and should have red karma for coming on my topic with your idiot comments

Dumb ass thinks because Hopkins dominated Pavlik that no one else is capable of beating Pavlik, Pavliks not ****ing superman idiot. No one probably will beat Pavlik like Hopkins did, but Pavlik is far from invincible.

LOL this is great, a MASTERFUL fighter like Hopkins, a LHW at that, beats Pavlik and now EVERYONE at 168 can beat him. How good do you think those contenders at 168 would have done against Hops a couple nights ago?
Bandwagon hoppers are so annoying, ANYONE MW IN THE WORLD WOULD HAVE LOST TO HOPKINS!!!!!!

It's the way he lost numb nutts. Everyone would lose to Hopkins who came from 160? How about Taylor, oh and winky wright also gave Hopkins a tough fight too... Some of you are complete ball-lickers. And don't realize what style match up means.

                  Style match ups:

Abraham by decision or late knock out at 160 or 168

Winky Wright by Decision at 160 or 168

Lucian Bute by Decision at 168

Calzaghe at by Decision or late stoppage at 168 or 175

Kessler by decision or late stoppage on Pavlik

                  Who can Pavlik Beat:

Miranda would lose in a rematch by knock out by Kelly Pavlik

Taylor would lose probably by decision in a third match

Jeff Lacy loses by decision or late stoppage at 168 by Kelly Pavlik

Rubio get knocked out early or mid-round by Kelly Pavlik

Felix Sturm would be ko'd early pavlik or maybe mid round... I know
some of you Sturm fans think Sturm has the style to beat Pavlik by
decision. I don't think so, I think Pavlik is too big for Sturm naturally
and that Sturms been knocked out by lesser competition already.

Hard match up for me to choose who would win:

Andrade vs Pavlik= Probably Pavlik by decision but I wouldn't count Andrade out.
Pavlik can beat everyone at 160 and has a semi-decent chance to beat everyone at 168 except maybe Kessler.

Well Taylor is a decent enough point although I dont believe Taylor beat Hopkins at all. And no, Winky didnt really give Hopkins that tough a fight, if you understand both fighters and how they fight you can see that one was decently one sided.
So yes, Ill say it again: Any MW or SMW would lose to Hopkins right now.

Abraham by decision or late knock out at 160 or 168 -- AA is very powerful but he doesn't have the lateral movement it takes to throw Kelly off his game. AA likes to use the turtle shell defense and then throw looping counter hooks. Kelly is very good at finding the range of a fighter and keeping a good distance. Kelly would be able to shoot punches through his guard as well. If AA connects with a hook Kelly has the chin to take it and the same can be said of AA. This is a great match-up in my eyes and I would have to think about it more in order to make a decision.

Winky Wright by Decision at 160 or 168 -- So you think a 37 year old Winky, who took Jermain Taylor to a Draw over 2 years ago, and who has been inactive for over a year while readily admitting he is more interested in promoting, would take a very active Pavlik to a decision? At 160 where Winky has fought 5 fights or 168 where he has fought none? I want to pick a good counter puncher over Pavlik but that turtle shell defense keeps people in front of Pavlik--where he does his best work.

                      Lucian Bute by Decision at 168 -- F u c k i n g based on what?

Calzaghe at by Decision or late stoppage at 168 or 175 -- Decision? Probably. Stoppage? Not unless the fight happens in Wales and the ref counts blocked punches and stops the fight so his favorite welshman can add another TKO to his record.

Kessler by decision or late stoppage on Pavlik -- Kessler would lose to Kelly Pavlik at 168. And Kessler has a hard time stopping bums--he's not going to stop some one like Pavlik who takes punches very well and can deal with Kessler's exceedingly orthodox style.

Andrade would get knocked the **** out eating 90% of Pavlik's punches while walking forward and using no boxing skill. Just because Kessler couldn't put him away doesn't mean anything.

I know you Pavlik haters feel so good that he lost to Hopkins like that but his ass whipping came at the hands of a legend in the game and this list of mostly sub-par boxers you created to beat him is just as ridiculous now that he lost as it was before. Real boxing fans didn't overrate Kelly and understood how and why he would lose to Bernard.

You're no fan of boxing and you don't know the sport--you're a troll that either loves a boxer or hates their guts. I don't care about your ****ty opinion, because it is based off of emotional attachment and the fact like you are a loser who lives vicariously through fighters you are a fan of.
