Don't you agree? He knows how to combat each fighters styles. I would love to see him train someone like Dawson, Williams or Berto.
Hopkins would be a great trainer

I actually do not think he would be. He does have a lot of knowledge but he does not have the personality of a teacher, I am sure he would be ok with some fighters for a while but I do not think he could be someones trainer long run because he would be to hard to deal with day in and day out. -

Anyone with that much experience and knowledge is going to be a great trainer, no doubt. Some of the things he says in the post fight interviews show some intense research, thinking and understanding of tactics.
Really impressed me actually. Hardly ever hear boxers talking of watching really old fights to perfect theyre knowledge, craft and gameplans for fights.Comment

I would love to see him as a trainer. Not only does he know his stuff, but he can adapt and change strategy if need be. he keeps up to date too...like he said he was studying Cotto-Margarito for the Pavlik fight.
and most of all...hes easy to understand. very clear when he talks. no offense to Whitaker at all, but even though hes a goldmine of skill, hes pretty damn hard to understand at times. I dont think I would want him as a trainer for that reason.Comment

he probably would make a good trainer, but for now Id rather see him fight a couple times and before he retire. He still has alot left in the tank. Comment
