You don't actually know you assume he could, I think Hopkins fought the right type of fight, if he fought Calzaghe coming forward he would have been beaten to the punch, the reason it was so effective against Kelly was because Kelly was slower than Bernard. Calzaghe would proberbly do better if Hopkins came forward because Calzaghe likes when fighters come forward.

Hopkins gameplan of staying back and catching Joe coming in was working great until Joe started adapting and it wasn't pretty but he stopped getting tagged with the right hand as much and was trying to bring the fight to the centre of the ring instead of the sides where Hopkins was winning. If you look at Taylor, RJJ and Calzaghe the main attribute that Bernard was struggling with was the handspeed.

Anyway I remember you creating a thread saying if Joe beat Bernard you would stop complaining, then he beat Bernard and you said Bernard was shot, then Bernard beat Pavlik showing he has quite a bit left in the tank and your still complaining?

calzaghe doesnt wanna give the man a rematch because he knows he barley won that fight..this was the first time hopkins had fought twice in 1 year since 2005 hes fresh thats why he looked so good..if he and joe had a rematch id bet the bank on bernard..joe is a coward and a joke.
