He doesn't need to have natural talent like hopkins, pavlik really only needs a few minor adjustments imo. I mean really it was hopkins lateral movement that ****ed kelly up. He didn't know how to deal with that once his 1-2 was taken away from him. He needs to learn how to deal with that, and I'm sure hopkins (or any good trainer) could help him with that. **** this jack Loew piece of ****

Yeah I agree. I was frustrated with Jack Lowe because he kept telling Kelly to double up with the jab and it wasn't working at all. They had no plan B for this fight and against a brilliant fighter like Hopkins, you damn well better have a plan B and a plan C.

I think it would be cool if Hopkins helped Kelly train for his next fight. Hopkins really seems to like Pavlik.

yep, he sees something in pavlik that's for sure. I mean really, when was the last time hopkins was this respectful leading up to a fight? Hella people on this site were saying hopkins was scared, but clearly he wasn't. It was a matter of respect.

I don't know how well it would work with Pavlik, but I think Hopkins would make a great trainer.

I think Hopkins feels sorry that another white boy was shot down. Personally that's what I think. He sees that there are some whites that are really trying hard to be great champions but just can't compete and he is starting to feel bad for them "pavlik in particular" in his wising older years.

Pavlik lead right hands into clinch

Pavlik lead right hand turned into headbutt

Pavlik side-stepping and bouncing off the ropes

OH SNAPZ...Pavlik in the pocket with the shoulder roll!

              Kelly "***** Gansta'" Pavlik!

And then when he went over to him at the end of the fight and gave him advice! That says something about the respect he has for him.

BTW, sorry for the double post...but it just occured to me that I can imagine Lowe is gonna' be absolutely critiscized and dogged by people back home, and embarrassed as he's studying the fight with Pavlik to point out all the errors...all he's gonna' hear is "Throw that double jab and then the right..." all throughout the fight and we'll see how this affects Pavlik's faith in his trainer.

What do you mean? Calzaghe was able to compete with him and actually beat him. Maybe he feels sorry for Pavlik, IDK. I just don't think he would feel bad for anyone that he is going to fight though. He certainly didn't fight Pavlik like he felt bad for him. He put down a straight ass whooping on him.
