Why are boxers written off after having their first defeat? I can understand the Jeff Lacy one because he has never looked the same after his loss. Ricky Hatton lost to Mayweather and a lot of people said he should retire despite only being 30 yrs old, he got KO'd but it doesn't mean he's finished! I still think Hatton has a lot to offer and think he'll be a better fighter under Mayweather Sr.
I've heard some people say Pavlik was exposed etc... but he beat Taylor twice and Miranda who was being talked about as a possible opponent for Taylor before Pavlik beat him. I just think Pavlik wasn't suited to Hopkins style , Hopkins was simply too good for him but I think he'll come back and still be a force unless he contracts Lacy Syndrome and loses all confidence.
The same can be said about Amir Khan. He got brutally knocked out by a dangerous puncher and should have had more respect for Prescott's KO record. Wank Warren should have scouted Prescott better and knew who he was sending Khan in the ring with. Can Amir come back? I think he will but will be a bit more cautious and be better defensively.

Pacquiao was knocked out in his 12th and 28th fights in the 3rd round and went on to become the best in the world according to the P4P list.
