name fighters you feel dont get the Props they deserve and the ones that get to much

name fighters you feel dont get the Props they deserve and the ones that get to much

    not enough

    Hamed
    Vitali
    Hatton
    Calzaghe
    Tarver
    Barrera

    too much

    Corrales
    Castillo
    PBF
    Jones
    Tyson

Hamed cause their are just too many haters ,Vitali cause he could hold his own with some of the best HW and probably beat 1 or 2

Hatton cause he gets called a club fighter despite being undisputed 140lbs champ with 1 loss world champ at two weights with a win over Tszyu

Calz because he is an Elite fighter that gets hated on period

Tarver is hated for beating Jones their is resentment and bitterness towards him because of his wins in a way beating Jones should of been his spring board it turned out to be his undoing fans never accepted him cause of it

Barrera cause all people ever talk about is Morales when Barrera is a better fighter than Morales

    too much

Corrales and Castillo overrated because of a great fight they had

PBF cause some people think he is a top 5 ATG when his best win is a faded old ODLH

Jones same as Floyd lack of resume yet people act like he was literally unbeatable in his prime

    Tyson same reason as Jones

Great post Terrible. I mostly agree with your list for one. Only one I'd question would be Tarver not getting enough props. But when you go onto explain the reasons being he was resented for besting Jones, your absolutely right. Take that out of the equation no doubt he'd be looked upon more favourably.

I think Johnson doesn't get enough credit, largely because a couple of his losses were wins in many peoples eyes.

            Hatton is under rated.

JMM as imo he beat Pac and doesn't get as much coverage as some other top 5 p4p's.

            Tyson def over rated.

I think personalities are too much of a factor in how much rep fighters get.

agreed ,take you point on Tarver

i think JMM is getting more respect now days than he used to but that is probably by hardcore fans rather than casual Boxing fans so yeah i kinda agree there too

I agree with all the guys you list as not getting enough credit Terrible but I disagree with most of the guys you list as being given too much.

The thing is almost any fighter in history could be on that list. I don't think the majority of boxing fans drastically overrate the fighters you list. The occasional nutcase goes on about Floyd being the greatest of all time, but that can't be considered representative of the opinion of boxing fans. Also you kind of act like without their war Castillo and Corrales were ordinary fighters. Corrales not only beat Castillo but he also beat Casa and Freitas. He was a very good 130 pounder. His only losses came against elite or near elite guys.

Tyson is probably the only one on that list I would actually agree with really.
