floyd mayweather was right when he dissed hbo

remember when mayweather said they hype up fighters they like instead of those who truly deserve it.....look what happened to cotto and pavlik this year.....the woman beater and the elder troll blamed pavliks managers instead of congratulating hopkins.....they only like fighters that dont go against the establishment

Larry Merchant is extremely biased. Not only Floyd but Roy, Bernard, & Winky have all complained over the years. Foreman & Roy would keep it real on fight night but you see how quick Merchant ran them out of the booth. Now were stuck with uncle Tom Manny.

No he was wrong. Floyd was paid big money to fight guys like Bruseles and Mitchell because HBO was nice/dumb enough to do it. He was biting the hand that fed him.

I thought the commentators were right last night. Pavlik with his growing stardom and success at 160 didnt have to move up 10 pounds to fight a guy like BHop. I mean those who picked Pavlik to win were doing so because we were banking on Hopkins being old. Not because we thought it was a good style matchup on paper. I think Arum took a chance and it ****ed him over in the end.

They should have given Bernard the damn just due he desreved rather than continuing to harp on the bad decision Pavlik made.

u i been saying that for the longest i cant stand the hbo team.. the only ones that are decent are papa and kellerman and lennox isnt really biased either.. manny is such a uncle tom he is a big time flip flop always bringin up tommy hearns and sugar ray leonard.. that loser had the audacity to say pavlik had marvin hagler power, then he went to say pavlik isnt a one punch ko artist and isnt that powerful.. jim lampley is as blind as a bat.. merchant is a drunk bastard and people think we're racist because we're telling the truth.. i wish they had the showtime commentators

Lol, so is your argument seriously that they only rep bad non-black fighters and never rep great black fighters?

Yeah, that really ****ty Juan Manuel Marquez was an HBO star from birth... Oh wait, he is great and had to earn his spot.

Barrera was repped from the beginning, and so was Morales, and they both turned out to be great.

What about Jermain "Disappointment" Taylor? If anything, he has had less of an outstanding career than Cotto to this point... He has the better names on his resume, but they were all close, instead of clear cut wins over big names like Cotto has.

Now, before someone calls me a racist, the three examples are not universal... they are merely the other side of the ****ing story when someone just says that HBO is racist because they hype up ****ty fighters like Kelly Pavlik.

Top Rank commentators pissed me off! I think round 10 or 11, they try come up with excuses as to why Pavlik was getting beat so bad, they must have come up with 10 excuses and was pretty ****ing annoying that they can't give credit for a boxing masterclass that Hopkins gave.
