Arreola Hype, Please Don't Kid Yourselves

I understand that alot of they Arreola hope/hype stems from him being the only real american hw that hasn't gotten a shot and failed yet (Thompson,Chambers,Ruiz).

In his fight with Chazz i remember the announcers saying Chazz had only been boxing a few years, i expected them to say the same for Chris, when they mentioned that Arreola had been boxing since he was like 12 i was blown away. How can you do somthing for more then half your life and not even be able to grasp the fundementals.

-He SEEMS to have a chin but it hasn't truly been tested yet
-He leans forward from the waist like he's checking to see if his shoe-laces are tied up, He'll get decapitated against anyone with half a brain and a good uppercut in their arsenal
-He ****s his elbow out when he's throwing punches alot of the time, looks weird but does seem to have some power in spite of this

basically he's tough and will take a good beating but any real top ten guy will school him, face it there doesn't seem to be any legitimate American heavies, deal with it and stop pumping this ****in guy.

I'm Always going to root for Slavic fighters but i'm also rational about it Dimitrenko,Boytsov,*****ko,Ustinov all have shortcomings but there is real substance, talent and potential. Oleg Platov on the other hand, while i'm a fan i realize he is limited and probably won't ever be a serious contender, just a tought SOB who can throw bombs and entertain. Please try to be real with this stuff, the Arreola hype is getting annoying.

Agreed Arreola is more of a toughman fighter than a pro boxer.

I don't even follow Arreola and am aware the he already beat a few guys he wasn't suppose to beat.

From what i hear about Vitaly and the way he looked, Arreola should go after him.

If Arreola can stay in close quarters with either Kilitchko at all times he has a chance to beat both. They have no inside game.

Maybe in about 3 or 4 years. I like Chris, I think he has a lot of heart, he keeps his guard up and seems to have a decent chin and pretty good punch. He looks like he's out of shape but doesn't seem to slow down as the fight goes on. He's still pretty rough around the edges which is surprising considering how many amateur fights he had (over 300.) If the HW division is anywhere near as bad as people say it is, he'll have a title within 2 years.
