Calzaghe was more elusive than Pavlik and won a very close SD.

except it wasn't really very close. Hopkin was shut in his shell getting hit all over, faking low blows, and was forced into using every defensive tactic he could.

for me, there's not much between kessler and calzaghe but both are clearly better than the limited Hopkin

        I had Hopkins winning 114-113.

Hopkins would win, but it'd prolly be at least a little more competitive.

I guess it depends on what you're looking for. Hopkin showed a lot of defensive skills but Calzaghe was in there to fight and come forward and threw more punches. As I seen it Hopkin looked tired after halfway and didn't dare come out of his defensive shell. That says a lot I think.

I think Hopkin could've taken Calzaghe out after the knockdown but he didn't come forward, he went into his defensive stance again. Story of the fight really. I think Kessler would put similar pressure on him.

            Pavlik was just technically inept.
