Knock Him Out? He Barely Found Him!

That was the best quote of the night, I don't care what anybody say. Lampley called the best fight of his career btw. I hate the way he **** rides a Barrera or a Cotto or a Jermain, but this fight he called it perfectly.

Knock him out? He barely found him!

Larry Merchant's line about the feds was also great.

yea they did a pretty good job.

but i thought they made too big a deal about the speed. I mean, did anybody think Pavlik was gonna be faster then Hopkins? i dont think so... but they kept saying it like it was astonishing

I didn't think Hopkins would beat Kelly to the punch, I thought he'd wait Kelly out and counter

          Agreed.

I always expected Hopkins to be the quicker fighter.

But you gotta admit that Kelly looks much slower when he fights above 160. Against Jermain in their second fight and now, he's a slower fighter at a higher weight.

I knew Hopkins had the speed, but I did not expect Hopkins to fight the way he fought last night. Cudos to Hopkins. Also, why doesn't Margo go after Williams or move up in weight to fight Santos. He has to stop going after DLH for an easy pay day. I agree with wanting to make money, but you also need to fight for respect.

I thinkwhat they were emphasizing was the WAY that he used his speed, not just the fact that he was faster. Usually he uses speed to counter. This time he was actually getting off first, and that makes your handspeed a lot more noticeable.

Kelly Pavlik is slow. He has good timing and great power. He's not a flsh fighter. That's not his style. He'll hunt you down...seek and destroy with his bombers.

Nard's the faster fighter between the two. Did you notice all the lead hooks that he caught Pavlik with? That was impressive.

I am a Pavlik fan more than a Hopkins fan. But i respect Hopkins because he is "The Executioner"

A piece of the old Hopkins (no pun intended) came out that night when he dodged a combo thrown by Pavlik and walked away like in the 90's,
