Maybe they mean National level like a domestic level fighter?

I think you're referring to someone's post on the 606 boards, not the BBC's journalism.

        Here's the BBC's report:

BBC, Sport, BBC Sport, bbc.co.uk, world, uk, international, foreign, british, online, service

No mention of the quote you referenced.

Here's the article you speak of:

The best of the BBC, with the latest news and sport headlines, weather, TV & radio highlights and much more from across the whole of BBC Online

That article is just a post made by someone on their 606 boards. It'd be like me creating a thread on here hating B-Hop them someone saying that "BoxingScene hates B-Hop" based on my thread.

          The Great white hoax exposed.
          by Christopher_Wasp (U10452061) 19 October 2008

Hate to say I told you so folks, but Kelly Pavlik has been exposed as the typical american-level one dimensional come forwards ****er a few of the more knowledgeable fans (myself included) have been calling him as all along.

He was comprehensively taught a boxing lesson by a shell of a hopkins who Joe Calzaghe caused to crawl around the apron yelping like a lame old seadog.

The clamour for the ridiculous Pavlik Calzaghe bout will now go away and Calzaghe can retire to the Hall of fame without the uninformed and uninitiated using the great white hoax as a reason to delay Joes well deserved retirement to the pantheon.

word of advice from a concerned boxing fan for KP - stick to middleweight where your power looks half impressive, avoid King Arthur Abraham AT ALL COSTS. Hard to say where you go from here perhaps back to beating up on hicksville tomato cans like you have done for the rest of your career.

Question is, would a hopkins pre calzaghe-battering have knocked KP out cold?

          thoughts folks

            Where did they say that?

It's not in the article reporting the fight.

Independent view based public writing. Never.

Views expressed by one man do not account for an entire organisation. You should hear some of the things Buncey says.
