Styles make fights pavlik, sounds like excuses but you guys shouldn't have interviewed him after the fight... He is so emotional at that point. In the interview he is using triangle theory that Taylor beat Hopkins, so Pavlik should be able to... LOL -
Kelly imo needs some new direction and a new trainer theres nothing wrong with Jack i mean hes got him this far but he needs to be taught a bit more. i mean come on Kelly needs to be switched on upstairs, he didn't throwa single feint, a dummy or a clver punch through the enitire fight!!
his trainer was a dumbass - saying he had to use the double jab. well genius if the double jab isn't working by round shouldn't you try something else!!
hes going to need a conditioner and strength coach as well pretty soon. hes getting too big for middlweight with all these different catchweights and will find it real hard to get back down 160. when he does move up hes going to need someone who will get him in the right shape, and help him carry his power through the weight classes.
Jack Loew's idea of mmoving up in weight was that his fighter would be able to eat more and be healthier in the build up to the fight - imo that sums up his amateurish approach in a nutcase.

Did kelly take Hop lightly? cuz i think he did..
Rushing his way into the ring smiling when his name was called he thought he had it in the bag..
I think he thought Hop was passed it and couldnt hurt him and he was gonna walk through him...
How wrong were they? lolComment

Completely agree with this. Have said it in other threads and couldn't put it much better. Pavlik also talks of 'issues' in that interview, he then looks over and, the interview naturally asks again what these issues are and Loew quickly hushes him. Very very dodgey if you ask me, somethings definitely going on there.Kelly imo needs some new direction and a new trainer theres nothing wrong with Jack i mean hes got him this far but he needs to be taught a bit more. i mean come on Kelly needs to be switched on upstairs, he didn't throwa single feint, a dummy or a clver punch through the enitire fight!!

Fair play to Pavlik, he's clearly very rocked by the loss and is taking it well over all, and willing to admit fault and learn from it. Just not sure that attitude extends elsewhere in his team unfortunately.Comment

"It's not that he's that good, I mean, for crying out loud he lost to Jermain Taylor twice. I beat Jermain Taylor twice, I beat him by decision and I knocked him out. It has nothing to do with his athleticism or his craftiness. Jermain Taylor hit him at will, Calzaghe hit him at will, I just didn't have anything."
I wish Pavlik would give Hopkins the credit he deserves. Is Pavlik truly delusional or does he really believe that some mysterious force kept him from letting his hands go? I'm pretty sure that counter rights, left hooks, and movement kept him from unloading on a stationary target like he usually does.
Taylor is a limited fighter, but his natural athleticism is a much better match for Hopkins, who I thought he lost to anyway. Calzaghe is a whole different animal.Comment
