Bernard Hopkins is the only fighter in Boxing History to defeat 3 top 5 fighters after turning 40.

Now last night was ANOTHER example of peeps fallin' for the okey doke! Pavlik had never beaten someone of real boxing signifance beside the MW king JT(who was an uppercut away from KOing Kelly in the first fight)who's a very inconsistant fighter. In the second fight(many felt JT won that) JT exposed Pavlik's vulnerability to lateral movement and defending the counter right over his jab. JT who struggled at the back half of ALL his fights after he fought Hopkins, struggled again and Pavlik out worked him for a UD. And many peeps here including the boxing press beleived Kelly would not only out work but KO Hopkins.......for a man that has never been beaten up, that was totally DISRESPECTFUL!!!......You guys was wrong and you'll be wrong again.....WATCH!

Should we take the boxing press serious? The Boxing writers got exposed last night as fan boys and not professional journalist. What yall thnk about the boxing press? Is these dudes really knowledgeable?

What I think of the boxing press is pretty clear in THIS THREAD.

Their opinions and predictions hold no more weight than the average boxing fan.

Of course, Kelly Pavlik is not Jeff Lacy, but in some ways he is still untested against elite competition. Some parallels can be drawn here: the undefeated, young, monster puncher up against the seasoned pro. It doesn't always work out how you think it will.
